Tensions erupted in Poonam Cluster Society, following the demolition of the shed erected for Bakrid by authorities, that some residents allegedly attempted to reconstruct it at night, leading to heated arguments and a scuffle. In retaliation, Hindu nationalist supporters including the members of VHP-Bajrang Dal gathered and brought a piglet to the society gates, claiming it was for “Varaha Puja” to counter the sacrificial goats.
