Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the inauguration of various development projects, stated that the Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and the BJP government in West Bengal had built detention centres and asserted that all those who had come through “ghuspaith” (infiltration) should leave on their own. He said that the state government would not file a case against them and would instead help them leave and added that he hopes a lot of people will leave before they start their operation. He asserted that their government is determined to identify and deport each and every “ghuspaithiya” from the country and stated that Narendra Modi has decided to form a high-powered Demographic Change Committee to study the same.
