Three Muslim youth were brutally assaulted and shot with airguns by a mob on suspicion of cattle theft. The youths had gone out in search of their aunt’s missing calf when they were detained and attacked by the mob. The victims sustained serious injuries, and although their family filed an FIR, no action had been taken against the accused at the time of reporting.
