At a Hindu Jan Akrosh Morcha organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, NCP MLA Sangram Jagtap spread the conspiracy of “love jihad,” praised the Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh governments for filing cases against those accused of “love jihad,” used the anti-Muslim slur “lande”, and warned of a growing “green problem” in the village. He urged the sarpanch to take action against Muslims without worrying about legal consequences, suggested throwing them out, and claimed that Muslims aimed to Islamise India by 2047. At the same event, Dr Dhavalsinh Mohite-Patil used the anti-Muslim slur “lande,” communalised a murder case by referring to Muslims as “jihadis”, and demanded that India become an exclusively Hindu state by abandoning secularism.
