Bajrang Dal members led by Ganesh Vanzara stopped and harassed Muslim cattle transporters on suspicion that they were transporting cows for slaughter. However, the vehicle was found to be carrying only goats and sheep. After police verified the transporters’ documents and found them to be valid, the men were allowed to leave. In an Instagram post, Vanzara admitted that he had stopped the vehicle because its occupants looked like “jihadis” and expressed frustration that he had to let them go because the transport and slaughter of goats and sheep is legal.
