Authorities demolished part of a dargah (shrine), alleging the structure was an encroachment on a public road. The demolition came days after the shrine’s caretaker was accused of assaulting a Hindu temple priest. Officials carried out the operation under heavy police deployment and also partially demolished a wall of the caretaker’s house.
