The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), accompanied by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, began demolishing Tehzeeb Islamic English School, which Somaiya described as an example of “school jihad” and “land jihad.” The school, run by the Scholar Education Trust, was partially demolished before the Bombay High Court heard its plea challenging the demolition order. The High Court later stayed further demolition, leaving the school partially demolished.
