Members of the Hindu Jagaran Manch Baruipur, along with Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), organised a rally from Garia to Jadavpur denouncing the nationwide student protests as a “jihadi” and anti-national movement, which they claimed had been orchestrated by the Cockroach Janta Party. Participants raised slogans including “Ayodhya toh jhanki hai, Kashi Mathura baaki hai” (“Ayodhya is only a glimpse; Kashi and Mathura are yet to come”).
