At an event organised by the Hindu Yuva Vahini, former MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” describing it as one of the biggest threats facing Hindus. Citing an alleged case, he claimed that Muslim men deceive Hindu women for financial exploitation and asserted that many similar incidents had occurred across the state. He urged vigilance against Muslims, warning that befriending them or allowing them into Hindu homes would inevitably lead to harm. Referring to the alleged killing of a Yadav man by a Muslim, he criticised Akhilesh Yadav for remaining silent and alleged that opposition leaders accepted financial support from Muslims and insult Hindu deities. He further claimed that Muslims had changed their methods of targeting Hindus, warned against “Kalnemi” and “cow slaughterers,” and asserted that the country could not remain safe without Sanatan Dharma.
