In Kanpur, Far-Right Monk Calls Muslims “Traitors” Over Partition

Location: Ramaipur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

Far-right monk Madhuram Sharan Shiva, leader of the armed monks’ group Shiva Shakti Akhada, invoked Partition to dog-whistle against Muslims, warning Hindus to remain vigilant against those he described as “traitors” who had demanded India’s division on religious grounds. He criticised the ancestors of those who remained in India and labelled those who refuse to say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” or “Vande Mataram” as “traitors,” urging vigilance against such individuals in the name of national security.
