At the inauguration of the Shri Buda Amarnath Yatra 2026, VHP Organising General Secretary Milind Parande claimed that more than 120 countries had become Christian and over 50 had come under Islamic rule, alleging that “vidharmis” had repeatedly invaded India and that Hindus had struggled against political slavery. He fearmongered about a declining Hindu population, claiming Hindus, their culture and their saints would be safe only while Hindus remained a majority. He urged Hindus to have at least two or three children to protect their religion and “motherland,” warning that having one child could cause their lineage to perish. He further alleged that “Christian and communist forces” were conspiring to reduce the Hindu population by urging Hindus not to identify as Hindu in the census.
