During an Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas organised by VHP–Bajrang Dal, a speaker alleged that India could have remained “Akhand Bharat” if a “civil war” had occurred before Partition, and urged attendees to emulate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Subhas Chandra Bose. He peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” urging Hindus to prevent women from falling into its “trap” and claiming unity was necessary to defeat “vidharmis.” Invoking the slogan “shastra mein jayate” (“victory lies in weapons”), he called on Hindus to take up both shastra (weapons) and shaastra (religious scriptures) to protect their religion, temples, families, and themselves.
