At a Kawad event organised by Hindu Rakshak Sena, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane declared India, Maharashtra and Mumbai to be “Hindu Rashtra,” said “I love Mohammed” would not be accepted in Mumbai, and asserted that Hindu processions would proceed regardless of mosques along their routes. He also endorsed the use of tridents and weapons, saying attendees should use them against anyone who “looks at Hindus the wrong way,” while tridents were distributed at the event.
