During a rally by Hindu Jagaran Manch, participants raised slogans targeting those they referred to as “jihadis” and “deshdrohis” (traitors of the nation), calling for them to be beaten with shoes, and claimed that those demanding “Azaadi” were “jihadis.” They also accused the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) of promoting an “anti-national” agenda during the student protests held in July.
