A mob of Hindu nationalist supporters detained two people over allegations of attempting to convert Hindus to Christianity. Amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” the two were dragged through the area, violently pushed and heckled; the man was left shirtless, with his clothes torn off, while the woman was manhandled by members of the mob. Police were present during the incident, and the two were subsequently taken into custody.
