Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, speaking at a campaign rally for municipal elections, claimed that his government had curbed the problem of “love jihad” in the city and the state by implementing laws against religious conversion. He also glorified the implementation of the Disturbed Areas Bill in Parkota (Walled City), under which the sale of property between individuals from different religions requires prior permission from the District Magistrate.
