In Gautam Buddha Nagar, Far-Right Monk Calls Muslims “Pigs”

Location: Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh

During the grand opening ceremony of a Boxing Academy and Gymnasium, Yati Mahadevanand Giri, a disciple of Yati Narsinghanand Giri, claimed that temples were always in trouble while “they” were always in danger, referring to Muslims and Christians. He derogatorily referred to Muslims living in areas such as Pasonda as “suar” (pigs) and praised another Hindu nationalist leader Annu Chaudhary for “dealing with” them.
