In Hardoi, AHP Leader Urges Women to Keep Weapons at Home

Location: Sandila, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh

At an AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal event, Ojaswini leader Rajni Thukral called on attendees to keep weapons at home for “self-protection” and perform shastra pujan during Dussehra, urging women to keep their own weapons. She said those unable to keep swords should keep “steel pipes” instead, citing an alleged Delhi incident where women used a broken liquor bottle to defend themselves. Advocate Rajvardhan Singh, echoed Thukral’s call for women to keep weapons during Dussehra puja, asserting that those unable to keep “katta” and “guns” should keep vegetable-cutting knives to “fight them.” He claimed that “they” carry farsha (axes) and “butcher’s knives,” while Hindus have expensive Android phones but no weapons. He urged women to be vigilant against people from the “other community” on social media, alleging that they create fake social media accounts, and warning them not to consider “topi-walas” as brothers. He called for the boycott of Muslims, claiming that Hindus would be “in pieces” if they maintained ties with them in their neighbourhoods. He further alleged that Muslims had taken over traditional occupations abandoned by Hindus, claiming it was now difficult to find Hindu barbers and tailors.
