The Municipality deployed bulldozers to demolish three meat shops after they were found operating and selling chicken on Ganesh Chaturthi, allegedly in violation of the order requiring them to remain closed during the festival. Officials also announced that proceedings had been initiated to cancel the operating licenses of the shop owners for violating the closure order.
