BJP Minority Morcha leader Nazia Elahi Khan delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech at a religious katha event, referring to Muslims derogatorily as “kathmulla” and “lungichaap.” She claimed that Muslim men commit violence against women within their own community and would not hesitate to target Hindu women, alleging that they would murder, dismember, and conceal Hindu daughters in refrigerators, boxes, and sewers. She also claimed that the system of ghunghat (veil) was not native to Hindus but was historically adopted as a defensive measure to protect women from Mughals. She urged Hindus to take a vow to chop off the hands of “kathmullas” if they attempted to take away Hindu women. As the Azaan began during her speech, Khan claimed that the Islamic call to prayer disrespects and devalues other religions by declaring Allah as the only true authority. She further urged Hindus and “Sanatani Muslims” to boycott Muslim-owned shops during Hindu festivals and religious observances.
