In Barrackpore, Rajnath Singh Accuses TMC of Protecting ‘Infiltrators’

Location: Barrackpore, West Bengal

Key themes from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s campaign speech: “Violence on the soil of Bengal cannot be because of Ram and Shyam, Mamata ji, you must understand this truth. Why have you done this? West Bengal wants an answer. In the budget, you allocated 5,700 crore for madrasa development, but only 1,400 crore for industry. The thinking of the Trinamool Congress is to insult Adivasis while glorifying ‘ghuspaithiya’ (infiltrators). As far as ‘ghuspaithiya’ (infiltrators) are concerned, Mamata ji does not want to stop them, she sees them as her vote bank. Land was sought to stop some ‘ghuspaithiya’ (infiltrators), and it was said it would be given, but it was not. Only recently has some land been provided to the BSF so that fencing can be carried out along the border and ‘ghuspaithiya’ (infiltrators) can be prevented from entering Bengal.”
