In Basti, VHP-Bajrang Dal Speaker Threatens That “Not a Single Mosque Would Survive”

Location: Basti, Uttar Pradesh

At a VHP-Bajrang Dal meeting, a speaker opposed the idea of communal brotherhood (bhaichara), alleging that Hindus had the concept of “Bhai bandhu” claiming “they” started the concept of “bhaichara,” and treat Hindus like fodder (chara). Another speaker alleged an increase in mosques and other religious structures near border areas and threatened that if members of the “other community” committed any wrongdoing, “not a single mosque would survive.” He further glorified the removal of a local religious structure in Basti, claiming it resulted in an increase in the expansion of their organisation.
