In Dehradun, CM Dhami Says Street Namaz Will Not Be Allowed During Char Dham Yatra

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

At an appointment letter distribution programme under the Irrigation and Agriculture Departments, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that street namaz would not be allowed during the Char Dham Yatra, arguing that roads cannot be used for religious demonstrations or obstruction and that prayers should only be offered at designated places such as mosques and Eidgahs. He said no one has the right to disrupt public order and that the state would not allow any inconvenience to Sanatanis and Char Dham pilgrims. Criticising the Opposition, he alleged that some people approach such issues through vote-bank politics and said the peace, culture, and discipline of the state would not be compromised.
