In Dehradun, Pinki Chaudhary Threatens Muslims and Promotes “Land Jihad”

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Hindu Raksha Dal leaders delivered dangerous speeches, with Pinki Chaudhary warning that if anyone tried to occupy the area through planning or deceit, they would attack and drive them away. The speeches were delivered at a protest over a clash after Hindu Raksha Dal members went to a MUslim locality to confront a Muslim man over a social media video showing him meeting two people during Haj, from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pinki Chaudhary peddled conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad”, claiming that “extremists and jihadis” are settling in the state and that people in “caps, beards and high pajamas” are indulging in it to end “Devbhoomi.” He used derogatory slurs such as “katmulla” and “pigs” against Muslims. He asserted that the police had assured them that the man’s house would be demolished. He warned that if their demands were not met, more “Hindutvawadi warriors” would reach Kargi Chowk from different corners of the country and “give a reply to the jihadis”, adding that the authorities would be responsible for this. The participants chanted slogans such as “Mulla-gardi won’t be allowed”, “Whenever mullas are scared, they put police in front”, and “Apply Dabur’s oil and erase the name of Babur.” Other speakers claimed that Pinki Chaudhary had raised his members to “kill and be killed”, and that Muslims show strength in their areas and challenged them to come to theirs, saying they would show them their place. Sourav Sharma warned that if Lalit Sharma was even slightly scratched, they would destroy entire generations of “jihadis” and assured that the members would not leave the protest, saying that they do the work of “dragging jihadis out of their homes and assaulting” them. Lalit Sharma asserted that when it comes to “assaulting Muslims”, Pinki Chaudhary leads from the front.
