In Delhi, Hindu Mahasabha Speakers Target Muslims and Demand Madrasa Closures

Location: Chhatarpur, Delhi

During an “awareness campaign” by the Hindu Mahasabha following an alleged assault on a Hindu man named Bhim, speakers targeted the Muslim community regarding local demographics, “safety of Hindus”, and religious practices. Bhim and other speakers alleged rising “Muslim encroachment”, the growth of residential madrasas, and “love jihad” targeting Hindu women, demanding madrasas be shut down and accusing police of biased inaction when Hindus are attacked. Advocate Praveen Tyagi questioned whether the nation follows the “Constitution or Sharia”, citing the murder of Tarun in Uttam Nagar and claiming Hindu flight followed demographic shifts. He further referenced alleged assaults on Hindus, false claims of Pakistani flag waved by a 10 year old boy during Muharram, and blackmail cases by Muslim men involving Hindu women. Speaker Anup Nathupuriya opposed Muslim burials in graveyards (qabristan), alleging they serve as a tactic for land acquisition and demanding strict limits on their size.
