At the Hindu Raksha Dal national convention, national president Bhupendra “Pinky” Chaudhary referred to Muslims as an “army of insects” and peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleging that they lure Hindu women and have “10 children” to increase their population and “occupy our country.” He claimed Muslims’ population was rapidly increasing to “kill our children” and accused the BJP of failing to protect Hindus by not implementing a “population control law.” He called Hindu Raksha Dal members “soldiers being prepared for battles” to protect Sanatan Dharma.
Far-right monk Yati Narsinghanand Giri referred to Muslims as “adamkhore pagal kutte” (“man-eating mad dogs”) and “terrorists” and invoked the idea of a “Hindu Rashtra.” He urged Hindus to have “at least 4–5” children and keep weapons at home, warning that “man-eating mad dogs” would one day come to their doors and claiming Hindus could only defend themselves through their sons, nephews, and brothers. He criticised the BJP for not giving Hindus “weapons licenses” and for “banning Hindu organisations,” and urged Hindus to stop relying on the police or Hindu organisations, alleging they had failed to protect Hindus from “terrorists” in Kashmir, Bengal, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Delhi. He cited Shyam Sundar Sharma, who allegedly kept rifles at home and whose sons defended themselves, as an example for Hindus to follow. He also urged Hindus to vote for Hindu nationalist figures rather than the BJP, warning that otherwise their women would destroyed and their children would die. He called RSS leader Indresh Kumar “dirt,” alleged that he had facilitated Hindu-Muslim marriages, and claimed that if he were not killed, all Hindus would be circumcised. He further alleged that Kashmiri Brahmins had been “erased” because they kept no weapons.
