Far-right monk Arjun Giri Maharaj delivered a dangerous speech calling for the killing of those who allegedly consume cow meat, claiming that if those who consume it were killed, no one would dare touch cows. He further stated that, to survive, they must kill those in front. He delivered the speech during the Vishal Hindu Ekta Bhagwa Rally. Rajkumar Panchal, also known as Bittu Bajrangi and the organiser of the rally, displayed posters describing himself as “jihadion ka jija” (brother-in-law of jihadis). He claimed that he would remain a “jija” of those he alleged kill cows, engage in “love jihad,” and roam around with bombs in their bellies.
