During Ram Utsav organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad, Organising General Secretary Milind Parande fearmongered over the Muslim population in the country. He alleged that states like Nagaland, and Mizoram have been converted to Christianity, and cited the Karbi community, claiming they are descendants of Lord Ram’s army and praising them for resisting conversion. He alleged that forces are weakening Hindus by dividing them along caste, language, and sect lines.
