Hindu nationalist supporter Laxman Soni rejected Hindu–Muslim brotherhood and urged women to become “kattar” (staunch) and raise “kattar” children following the death of Surya Chauhan, who was reportedly stabbed by individuals including Asad, Nawab, and Farhan. He called on Hindus to refuse to rent homes and shops to Muslims and invoked violence with the phrase “phoonk dalo salo ko” (“burn them down”). He also urged women to enrol their children in Hindu nationalist organisations.
