At a VHP–Bajrang Dal ‘Health Camp,’ Bajrang Dal District Co-convenor Hari Singh Sengar warned women of what he described as a major threat, alleging that men from other faiths trap Hindu women. He praised Bajrang Dal members as protectors of cows and women, comparing them to the police emergency service and claiming that Hindu society turns to the Bajrang Dal first for their protection. He further alleged that individuals with a “jihadi” mindset had attempted to stop the Ram Janaki Rath Yatra in 1984, claiming that the Bajrang Dal was formed in response, and urged women to join the Durga Vahini.
