In Hapur, Far-Right Monk Promotes “Land Jihad” Conspiracy

Location: Hapur, Uttar Pradesh

During “Jago Hindu Yatra,” Yati Mahadevanand Giri, a disciple of Yati Narsinghanand Giri, claimed the event was organised to awaken Hindus, protect women and families from “land jihad,” and address the declining Hindu population, which he said threatened the existence of Sanatan Dharma. He said that people could either join them and support Sanatanis or get “circumcised” if they wanted to. He urged people to support Sanatanis, asserting that because of them, bells could be heard and warning that otherwise, those offering Namaz five times a day could drive Hindus away.
