Bajrang Dal members staged a sit-in protest against alleged religious conversions to Christianity, blocking the road and raising the slogan, “Hindu der Christian dhorme convert korte dichi na, debo na” (“We will not allow Hindus to be converted to Christianity”). The protest followed allegations that the local BJP MLA had failed to support Bajrang Dal members in their opposition to emerging cases of religious conversion, with protesters demanding that the MLA appear at the protest.
