During a Ram Navami celebration organised by VHP-Bajrang Dal, far-right monk Yogi Laxman Nath alleged that Muslims attack Hindu religious processions. He also claimed that offering green chadars at mazars is a means to encroach upon land. He stated that “topi” and “tilak” can never coexist and opposed the idea of communal brotherhood (bhaichara), alleging that while Hindus consider them as brothers, they are treated like fodder (chara). He further claimed that an “Abdul” does not consider his own sister as a sister, questioning why Hindu women should consider them brothers. He also engaged in fearmongering over Muslim population, alleging that atrocities increase as their population rises.
