At a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, far-right monk Madhuram Sharan Shiva, leader of the armed monks’ group Shiva Shakti Akhada, asserted that Hindus are the land’s original inhabitants and warned that those who arrived “1,400–2,000 years ago” expanded into multiple nations while Hindus declined. He alleged that Hindus are being looted, beaten, divided, and converted to Christianity and Islam by “vidharmi.” He fearmongered about alleged demographic change, claimed that Hindus could not organise religious events in nine Indian states, and questioned whether anyone could issue a “call to war,” asserting that had Hindus fought earlier, India would not have been divided, nor would conversions occurred. Calling for a “Hindu Rashtra,” he demanded Dashrath-like fathers who would instruct their sons to “pick up arms and behead jihadis.” He criticised Hindu women for prioritising money and English education and blamed them for the declining Hindu population. Urging Hindus to arm themselves for self-protection, he called on them to take up the weapons of the deities they worship and declared that the coming years would be a “time of fight.”
