In Kotdwar, Hindu Nationalists Target Muslim Shop Over “Baba” Name

Location: Kotdwad, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand

Hindu nationalist supporters went to a 30-year-old clothing store named “Baba,” owned by a Muslim man, and demanded that he change the name, claiming it was linked to their religion. When bystanders objected, pointing out that others also use the same name, the group insisted that Muslims would not be allowed to use it. This led to a clash, with bystanders accusing them of attempting to create communal unrest.
