During an inspection, BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar instructed officials to issue notices to house those he alleged to be an “illegal encroachment” in a Muslim-majority area. He accused them of encroaching on government land, and threatened to have them imprisoned if they did not vacate the area. He, along with JDA officials alleged the properties were illegally sold to them and that they should take their money back and vacate from the government land.
