AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal leader Gaurav Raghav addressing a Hindu Sammelan, claimed that there are certain people who oppose slogans like “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” He alleged that Hindu ancestors faced threats and intimidation but did not convert, asserting that Hindu identity and temples exist because of their “valour.” He declared that India belongs to Hindus and warned against those he claimed wanted to “break” the nation. Raghav urged Hindus to arm themselves against those he labelled “vidharmi” or “adharmi,” invoking Hindu mythological figures to justify violence, stating that using weapons against those who oppose Hindu faith, women, or national slogans is a religious duty. He compared such groups to a “mad dog” that must be beaten with sticks.
