Members of Hindu Raksha Dal Uttarakhand forcibly stormed the Baba Bulleh Shah Dargah, vandalising the sacred mazar (shrine) and surrounding structures while raising religious slogans. The attack followed a January 16 protest by VHP‑Bajrang Dal, which had alleged that the structure was a part of an illegal encroachment and demanded its removal.
