During a Varah Jayanti celebration, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane declared that India was a Hindu Rashtra and said the government gave Hindus first preference, warning that anyone who “troubles” Hindus would face a “tandav”. He also warned Muslims watching his speeches not to “trouble” Hindus and said he would not allow “any kind of jihad” in the area.
