In Padyana, Kajal Shingala Promotes “Love Jihad” and “Ghazwa-e-Hind” Conspiracies

Location: Padyana, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka

At Sri Kshetra Padyana Brahmakalashotsav, far-right influencer Kajal ‘Hindusthani’ Shingala peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and religious conversion, alleging that “jihadi” forces target Hindu women, encroach on land, and seek to establish “Ghazwa-e-Hind” and turn India into an “Islamic State.” She questioned what had changed over the years for Hindu daughters to willingly wear burqas for “Abdul and Aftab” and enter “Mulla’s” household. She further alleged that while Hindus focus on earning wealth, “jihadis” are focused on taking over the country through population growth. Using mythological imagery such as Mahishasura, she invoked figures like Babar and Aurangzeb to frame Muslims as a continuing threat, and claimed that Hindu women are exploited and later found cut into pieces and in suitcases.
