In Palampur, VHP-Bajrang Dal Trishul Yatra Calls for Eradicating “Jihadis” and Removing “Encroachments”

Location: Palampur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh

During a Trishul Deeksha and Shaurya Yatra organised by the VHP–Bajrang Dal, participants took a pledge holding tridents to protect “Bharat Mata,” cows, and Hindu women, stop religious conversions, defend Hindu culture, and eradicate “jihadis.” VHP General Secretary Surendra Jain warned “anti-Hindu elements” in Himachal Pradesh that their alleged conspiracies would not succeed and referred to the Sanjauli mosque dispute, vowing to remove all “encroachments” from the state. He accused Muslims of engaging in “love jihad,” cow slaughter, attacking Hindu festivals, and illegally occupying land to build mosques and mazars under the Waqf Board and earning money by building hotels. Calling the Sanjauli protests an inspiration for the country, he urged people to demand legal documents from those occupying land and to take it back if they failed to produce them. He further declared that Bajrang Dal would not allow anyone to live in India who refuses to say “Vande Mataram,” call India “Bharat Mata,” or who targets Hindu women or engages in cow slaughter. He invoked a Hindu mythological figure, warning that those who attack Hindu deities would be “slaughtered,” and alleged that Muslims are violent and “bloodthirsty.”
