At the Grand Warkari Mahadhiveshan organised by the Warkari Sampraday, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, and Mandir Mahasangh, multiple far-right speakers delivered anti-Muslim speeches. One speaker rejected the idea of equal respect for all religions, declaring India to be exclusively Hindu. Another fearmongered that Hindu women were being drawn into Muslim households as part of a plan to establish an Islamic nation. HJS leader Sunil Ghanwat spread the conspiracies of “spit jihad,” “love jihad,” “drug jihad,” and forced religious conversion, demanded anti-conversion and anti-“love jihad” laws, called for temple lands to be reclaimed from the Waqf Board, and urged the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code, population control measures, and the declaration of India as a “Hindu Rashtra.”
