At a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Sthapna Diwas event, a speaker glorified the demolition of the Babri Mosque by kar sevaks, crediting the VHP-Bajrang Dal, and invoked slogans calling for the mosque’s demolition. He claimed that 5 lakh temples had been destroyed, including 5,000 major temples that were either destroyed or occupied. He also fearmongered over Muslim population growth and alleged that Muslims and Christians seek to destroy Hinduism. The speaker claimed that Muslims’ only identity was “circumcision,” asserting that Hindus would accept them as brothers if they stopped practising it. He urged Hindus to teach their daughters to love and marry within their own religion, while peddling the “love jihad” conspiracy theory and claiming that Muslims view Hindu women as “baby-making machines” and that many Hindu girls are “cut into pieces.”
