During a Virat Hindu Sammelan organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj, Nitesh Rane, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, referred to Muslims as “green snakes,” accused them of threatening Hindu society, and claimed madrasas train children for terrorism and to establish “ghazwa-e-hind.” He also threatened bulldozer action against dargahs and promised to protect Hindus from various “jihads.”
