During an event organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, far-right speaker Shradda Shinde spread the conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” claimed Hindu women have “rates” for “jihadis,” stating “Maratha women have a rate of 9 lakh,” and demanded strict monitoring of Hindu women’s mobile phones to prevent “love jihad.”
