In Saharanpur, Far-Right Monk Dehumanises Muslims and Promotes “Ghazwa-e-Hind” Conspiracy

Location: Saharanpur, Jasmor, Uttar Pradesh

During the conclusion of the Muhim Yatra, Yati Mahadevanand Giri, a disciple of Yati Narsinghanand Giri, claimed that Muslims were pursuing “Ghazwa-e-Hind” to bring India under “Islamic rule.” He alleged that religious institutions and madrasas train children to become “atom bomb” who kill Hindus, whom he referred to as “kafirs,” and claimed that the Quran justifies killing “kafirs” and promises “72 hoors” to those who die in “Jihad.” He urged Hindus to distrust Muslims who appear friendly, claiming that anyone who follows the Quran considers Hindus “kafirs,” and derogatorily referred to Muslims as “suar” (pigs). He questioned how Muslims could be regarded as “brothers” today after allegedly dishonouring Hindu women in the past, contrasting Hindu marriage as a lifelong bond with “talaq” associated with “Mullah” and “halala-wale.”
