At a Rasta Roko organised by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, BJP MLAs Mahesh Landge and Gopichand Padalkar made anti-Muslim remarks and called for measures targeting Muslims. Landge called for a social and economic boycott of Muslims, while Padalkar alleged Muslim encroachment, promoted “love jihad” conspiracy theories, and threatened those who refuse to sing Vande Mataram, telling Muslims to leave India.
