Members of the Hindu Jagran Manch protested against a walima (reception) being held at a marriage lawn in the Garra Gate area, alleging religious conversion and raising slogans such as “stop love jihad.” Following the protest, an interfaith couple was compelled to cancel their wedding reception after police intervention. Hindu Jagran Manch leader Rajesh Awasthi demanded FIRs and legal action against the organisers and the marriage lawn owner, warning of agitation if action was not taken. Police stated that the event was cancelled by the family to maintain law and order and that an inquiry into the allegations is ongoing.
