In Uttarakhand, CM Dhami Promotes “Land Jihad” and Targets “Infiltrators”

Location: Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, speaking at a government event, highlighted the implementation of stringent anti-conversion laws, the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), “Operation Kalnemi,” and the dissolution of the Madrasa Board. He promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “land jihad,” claiming that over 13,000 acres of government land had been “freed” from alleged illegal encroachment. He criticised the Opposition for opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, questioning whether alleged “ghuspaithiyas” (illegal infiltrators) should be included in the voters’ list. He also criticised the Opposition for opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and alleged that they declined the invitation to the Ram Mandir inauguration to appease a “special community” vote bank.
