Authorities began demolishing portions of five mosques as part of the Daalmandi road-widening project. Officials carried out the operation under heavy security deployment after the management committees of five of the six affected mosques consented to the demolition, while one mosque did not reach an agreement with the administration. Authorities also barricaded the area and restricted media access during the operation.
